LTISD Institutes of Study

NEW:  "A Week at the Institutes" ~ Summer Camp Information   Click here for the 2009-2010 Institute Brochure Lake Travis ISD created six Institutes of Study to provide students an opportunity to deeply engage in an area of study while preparing them for post-secondary pursuits.     Each Institute of Study consists of a foundation core of study, a career exploration emphasis and a focus on post-secondary opportunities. These six Institutes are at the core of our comprehensive academic program at the secondary level: Institute of Advanced Sciences & Medicine Institute of Veterinary & Agricultural Science Institute of Math, Engineering & Architecture Institute of Business, Finance & Marketing Institute of Humanities, Technology & Communications Institute of Fine Arts Students are encouraged to choose an Institute and pursue an area of study in depth, but much of our Institute coursework is open enrollment.  Two programs within our Institutes (EDGE Engineering & the High School of Business™) are run as cohort-based programs to allow for more integrated coursework.   For More Information on our Programs: 2007-08 Institute Brochure U.S. Chamber of Commerce Summit Presentation Media - Articles Article Published through ACTE Grants / Funding Sources For more information on the Institutes of Study, contact Jill Siler, Executive Director of Academic & Organizational Development.
