W.O.W - Wonderful Outstanding Writing
W.O.W is a spin-off of our Science days. W.O.W-Wonderful Outstanding Writing. Our 4th grade team incorporates these days into their lesson plans so that they can give students uninterrupted time to write and produce pieces of writing similar to the ones that they will be expected to produce on STAAR testing day. The teachers work together so that all students get the same experiences on these days. Teachers then come together after the writing is complete to score the compositions together. Our teachers also host a week in February called Camp Write Along. Parents come in and help decorate the classrooms like they are going on a camping trip. The kids love it and they get so much out of the week!
