You know when you have grown into a community when the students you taught are bringing you their children to teach! Do you know that is exactly what has happened to Lake Pointe now? We have an outstanding community and our classroom has a family feel to it. I attended the University of Denver studying Latin American Studies and graduated in this field from the University of the Americas. My studies in education are from the University of Texas, and my certification/certificates include: GT, ESL,and Slingerland. Before teaching I worked in the university realm as well as the private sector, but in 1985 when my family moved here I started working for Lake Travis ISD. (My children are both LT graduates.) For 14 years I taught 4th grade, one year of 5th bilingual and nine years here at Lake Pointe teaching 5th grade. I love my family, travel, music, gardening, outdoor activities, and learning something new every day.....Life is an adventure with discovery to be the guide through experiential learning. You will love our Lake Pointe 5th grade class..... |
