LTISD PRE-KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM
All LTISD Pre-K classes are full-day and are held at the
Lake Travis Elementary campus.
To be eleigble for enrollment in Pre-K, a child must be 4 years of age on or before SEPTEMBER 1st of the enrolling school year and must meet one of the following requirements:
1. Be unable to speak and comprehend the English language; or
2. Be educationally disadvantaged (qualify for free/reduced lunch); or
3. Be homeless, as defined by 42 U.S.C. Section 11302, regardless of the residence of either parent of the child, or of the child's guardian or other person having lawful control of the child; or
4. Be the child of an active duty member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces who is ordered active duty by proper authority; or
5. Be the child of a member of the armed forces of the United States, including the sate military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces who was injured or killed while serving on active duty; or
6. Be the child of Guard and Reserve-Activated/Mobilized uniform members of the TX National Guard-Army or Air Gurard orthe Activated/Mobilized members of the Reserve components of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force or Coast Guard who are TX residents regardless of the location of the reserve unit.
7. Is or ever has been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services following an adversary hearing under Family Code 262.201.
To register a student for the LTISD PreK Program, Parents must provide:
(Photocopies will be made by campus office personnel and originals will be returned)
- photo identification of the parent or guardian who is registering the student (driver's license)
- parent/guardian's proof of residence in the district
(valid lease/rental agreement, mortgage statement or mortgage documents or current property tax statement)
- child's birth certificate (original certified birth certificate only, photocopies or hospital vanity certificates will not be accepted)
- child's social security card (if available)
- child's current shot records
- proof of income if the student qualifies due to being educationally disadvantaged based on family income
- proof of military status, if applicable

The Lake Travis Elementary Pre-K Program is open to qualifying four year olds who live anywhere in the boundaries of LTISD.
All Pre-K students attend full day classes at Lake Travis Elementary.

In order for a student to attend school, his/her immunization record must be current unless the parent has filed an exemption with the Texas Department of Health in accordance with Texas Education Code Chapter 38§38.001. Non-Eligible Students/Tuition Based Pre-K

The LTISD Pre-K program is offered, for a fee (Tuition Based), to students who live in the LTISD attendance zone and who do not qualify based on the above qualification requirements. Space is limited and enrollments is based on "first come, first served". Please be aware that there is a lengthy wait-list for entry into the tuition-based Pre-K program.
