All About Me

Welcome to 2nd Grade!

Meet the Teacher

The very very very best way to contact me during the new school year will be by email or by sending a note with your child.  I don't always make it to the phone right away to check my voice mail so if it is a matter that needs immediate attention please do not leave a voice message but instead email me, send a note with your child, or contact the office. If you have a change in the way your child will be going home that day you must fill out a change of transportation form online and email it to Lisa Hanson.  Please never email me or leave a phone message with changes in transportation as I might not get it in time.

                                                          All About Me
I just completed my 15th year at Lakeway Elementary School teaching second grade and have enjoyed every moment of it! Lakeway is by far the best community to be a part of and I am honored to be a teacher here at LWE!  I was born and raised in Austin, Texas and went to Dripping Springs K-12.  I graduated from the University of Texas in 1997.  Go Horns!  I have a wonderful family and enjoy spending my free time with them.  My precious parents still reside in Dripping Springs and my sister, Tracy McDaniel, and her family live in Leander.  Tracy is a second grade teacher and her husband is a head basketball coach in Leander ISD.  I enjoy cooking, drinking coffee and reading a good book, going to the movies, shopping of course, and most of all being with my family.  I have been married to my fabulous husband, Jon Anstey, for 12 years this July, 2012.  We have two precious little children that keep us crazy and busy!  Truett is 9 years old and is a fourth grader here at Lakeway Elementary.  Tabitha is 7 years old and will be in first grade this year.  Oh, and I can't forget about our third child . . . well it is actually our Malti-poo Leo, but we certainly treat him like he is one of our children!  They are so much fun! We have never laughed or loved so much since they have come into our lives.
