Sean Casey is the Assistant Superintendent for Technology & Information Systems Services.
 
He serves as the chief information technology officer for the District, identifying opportunities to leverage technology in the areas of instruction (teaching and learning), and administration (management, operations, and strategic planning). The role has expanded significantly in recent years as technology has become a key driver and enabler of innovation in instructional delivery, process engineering, systems management, and fostering a data-driven District culture.  Change management, end user support and training, and the supporting strategies to promote effective collaboration and communication have become critical success factors in the District's investment in technology.

Sean has been a classroom teacher (Social Studies, Language Arts, Science, Reading), a technology integration teacher, a campus technology coordinator, and a District technology leader over the past 15 years.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Texas and a Master of Science degree in Management of Information Systems joint degree from the Computer Science School and Business School of DePaul University.  Sean joined Lake Travis ISD in 2004.  Sean oversees District technology staff and coordinates campus-based staff towards furthering the goals of the District through the strategic adoption and effective use of technology. Outside of the District, Sean serves as an officer of the Texas K-12 CTO Council, which is the Texas chapter of the Consortium of School Networking (COSN), a national association promoting the strategic use of technology to improve teaching and learning.
