The primary goal of the Lake Travis Independent School District's Transportation Department is transport students to and from school safely and efficiently. To accomplish this goal, there are rules and responsibilities for each member of the transportation system which includes staff, students, and parents. We ask parents to become familiar with the rules and procedures and to discuss them with their child(ren).
LTISD staff coordinate 42 morning and afternoon school bus routes daily. The District's fleet consists of 68 buses powered by ultra-low sulfur diesel. Approximately 2,600 students are transported by bus each day. In 2011-2012, LTISD buses accumulated more than 650,000 miles collectively.
