Lake Travis Elementary (LTE) is rated Exemplary by the Texas Education Agency. We are a diverse campus with over 900 students. Our teachers are dedicated to the education of all students. Research based best practices teaching strategies are used to ensure that the needs of all students are met. At LTE we know that education is not a one-size fits all or even most kind of endeavor. We constantly strive to meet the needs of the children in the building. The teachers at LTE differentiate instruction in order to fulfill our vision. Our teachers work as a Professional Learning Community at every grade level. This work allows our teachers to really know and understand all students on the team and to take responsibility for all students.

The teachers at LTE are dedicated to delivering world class instruction using the district chosen curriculum, CScope. This curriculum is based off of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) that is provided by the Texas Education Agency. Our teachers teach beyond the basic TEKS by using hands-on, multi-sensory activities that can reach all students. We provided opportunities and challenges for our students to excel on a daily basis. It is our goal to challenge every child, every day!

LTE has an excellent special education team that uses a co-teaching model to meet the needs of our learners. Our gifted and talented program is challenging and takes students above and beyond. Our GT teacher provides consultations with teachers to make sure that all grade levels have enrichment in the curriculum for students who already have mastered materials and need to be challenged. We have a challenge lab on campus as well to which all students have access. We are the only bilingual campus in the district and we have 14 bilingual classrooms! We are also the only elementary that is Title I. Our campus is diverse and we are proud of it!

Our Mission at LTE is to empower and motivate all students to become lifelong learners through high expectations, engagement, flexible learning and differentiation within a challenging curriculum while embracing the whole child and encouraging diversity in a nurturing and safe environment.

LTE is a place for children to come and learn together, a place for them to play and laugh together, a place for children to experience success together. We are working hard, but having fun!
