Invitation B Test at Hendrickson High School - Lake Travis Places 1st!
The UIL Academics and Speech teams went to the Hendrickson UIL invitational meet this past Saturday and defeated 29 other schools to come away with the Speech and the Overall Sweepstakes trophies! The following students placed in the top 3 individual places in their academic events to help seal the win. Amy Hosteter, Amanda Wolken and Yen Chen Wee in Number Sense winning second place team; in Calculator Ghu-Hee Min and Kameron Moghaden; in Math Pawan Mannava; in Computer Applications Jacqueline Emerson and Ian Hinkle; in Literary Criticism Nathan Moore and Lacey Jones winning second place team; In Current Events Blade Angel, Pawan Mannava, Sean Casey, Connor Cone and Connor Wilkinson taking the first 3 places and 1st place team; And in Social Studies Nick Gatz, Ryan Tinney, and Mark Shoenike also winning first place team. Congratulations to all competitors!

Invitation A Test at Del Valle High School - Lake Travis Places 1st!

The UIL academic team went to the Del Valle invitational last Saturday and came back with the 1st place sweepstakes trophy, beating 10 other teams. The following students placed in the top 3 places in their events adding to the point totals to win the tournament: Amanda Wolken, Viet Ngo, and Amy Hostetler in Number Sense; Austin Hamby, and Pawan Mannava in Current Events; Keri Heath and Victoria Bartell in Ready Writing; Keri Heath, Alex Willis, Isabella Bryant and Courtney Runn in Journalism; Keri Heath, David Willis, and Victoria Bartell in Literary Criticism; Nick Gatz, Yelena Dokic, Ian Hinkle and Viet Ngo in Science; Viet Ngo in Computer Science; Nick Gatz, Ryan Tinney, and Mark Schoenike in Social Studies and finally Prem Menon, Derrick Ngo, and Viet Ngo in Math.
