Kathy joined Lake Travis ISD in May 2007. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the Univeristy of Texas followed by a Master of Education degree in Instructional Technology from the University of Houston. She previously worked at the Education Service Center Region XIII in Austin as well as in the Eanes, Alvin, and Clear Creek public schools. Kathy has over 12 years of experience in Educational Technology at the campus and district level. Kathy started teaching in 1985.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership in the interpretation and communication of the components of the state and federal accountability systems to campus and District administrators
  • Interpret and disseminate the state and federal reports and accountability measures for the district, including preparation of campus and district profiles
  • Provide analysis and interpretation of data for the District and comparison districts to assist district administrators in evaluating district performance
  • Prepare predicted state accountability ratings for campuses and the District
  • Coordinate the reporting and interpretation of student achievement data
  • Support curriculum and instructional initiatives in support of student academic success
  • Coordinate and lead the selection, administration, and analysis of district-selected, nationally-normed achievement test
  • Assist in the design of local assessments
  • Provide leadership in the implementation, disaggregation of local assessment data
  • Provide leadership, development, maintenance, evaluation and effective use of student achievement data and tracking systems
  • Coordinate and supervise the training of campus test coordinators
  • Supervise and ensure test security protocols and procedures
