Jennifer Farley serves as the Director of Elementary Academic Services. She supports the commitment of Lake Travis ISD to provide a challenging and comprehensive instructional curriculum for all elementary students. Jennifer works with curriculum and instruction in language arts, math, science and social studies for kindergarten through fifth grade. One of her goals is to build capacity in teachers throughout the district through additional work with curriculum and campus team leaders. Her position also consists of working with dyslexia for elementary and secondary students, in addition to overseeing the induction year teacher program, as well as providing district staff development for all teachers.

Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Jennifer received her Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in reading from the University of North Texas.  She then began her teaching career in 1995 in Grapevine ISD north of Dallas, Texas.  Following her first year of teaching, she moved back to the Houston area and taught in Conroe ISD for three years, followed by Spring ISD where she remained for ten years.  While working in Spring, Jennifer received her Master of Education degree in Administration while teaching and working as a campus TAKS Specialist.  She was then promoted to Assistant Principal at the same campus. In addition, she served for two years as the District Intervention Coordinator in the Curriculum and Instruction Department and subsequently returned to Meyer Elementary as campus Principal.  Jennifer began working with Lake Travis ISD in July of 2009.
