Becky Burnett is the Assistant Superintendent for Student Support Services.  In this capacity, Becky has general responsibility for special education services and also has oversight of various other student service components such as Pre-Kindergarten and Bilingual programs, Section 504/ADA, and counseling, health  care and social services.

Becky has served pre-school to post high school-aged students with all disabilities, their families, and fellow educators for the past 22 years.  She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education with a specialty in Communication Disorders from the University of North Texas and a Master of Science degree in Educational Administration from the University of Phoenix.  Becky began her career as a public school Speech/Language Pathologist in North Texas. When she moved to Austin, Becky worked in district-level Special Education services as well as at the Region XIII Education Service Center. She considers her family, friends, and associates to be vital aspects of her life.

Student Support Services is comprised of Special Education, Section 504, English Language Learners (ELL), Early Childhood Services, Nursing-Health Services, Counseling, Response to Intervention (A4L), General Education & Special Education Homebound Services, & Pregnancy Related Services (PRS).
